The Law School Library has acquired a new e-book which might be useful for undergraduate research about the music industry. It's called All You Need to Know About the Music Business (8th edition), and it's a sort of "bible" for anyone interested in becoming a professional music performer or songwriter, especially in the popular music field. There are chapters on getting a recording deal, touring, selling and publishing your music, and choosing a team of advisors. Several chapters delve into the intricacies of copyright and licensing. Click on the ebrary link in the HOLLIS record and check out the table of contents.
